Abstract:

Malaise samples from Sweden and Finland. These new records, including the first finds in Sweden, are documented. The morphology of Sciarosoma males is redescribed and females are described for the first time. In the light of these new data, the distribution and phenology of Sciarosoma in Fennoscandia is reviewed. Recent attempts to classify Sciarosoma within the family Sciaridae in a new, broad sense are critically examined.
