| Abstract: | A new sciarid species of the genus Dolichosciara Tuomikoski, 1960, is described from Madagascar. It is the first species of this genus recorded from the Afrotropical Region. Illustrations of the most important morphological characters are given, and the systematic position of the new species is discussed. |
