Sciaroidea at the 7th International Congress of Dipterology

Dear Sciaroidea Colleagues: Happy New Year!

I am writing to remind you of the upcoming 7th International congress of Dipterology taking place in Costa Rica, August 8-13. I am organizing the Sciaroidea (including Cecidomyiidae) workshop and I would like to invite you all to come and present your research on this fascinating group of Diptera. I hope that we will be able to have presentations on a wide range of research on the Sciaroidea, from ecology to systematics, behaviour to paleontology, physiology to natural history. Please let me know if you are planning to attend and what you might be interested in speaking on.

The deadline for early registration by regular delegates is January 31, 2010 (for student delegates June 30, 2010). Abstracts are due by April 15, 2010 and should be emailed to icd7abstract@inbio.ac.cr.
